FM Qureshi, Russian envoy discuss Afghan peace process
ISLAMABAD: Russia’s Special Representative to Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov called on Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi at his office on Tuesday.
The Russian envoy appreciated Pakistan’s role and efforts for Afghan peace and reconciliation. The two sides discussed the current regional situation during the delegation-level talks.
Mr Kabulov said Pakistan has a crucial role in the Afghan peace process and appreciated Islamabad’s role and efforts in this regard.

Speaking on this occasion, Qureshi said restoration of peace in Afghanistan was vital to peace and stability in the region. “Pakistan will continue to play its role for Afghan peace,” he said.
Kabulov is on a two-day visit to the country to discuss the Afghan peace process with Pakistani officials.
