Bilawal Bhutto, Asif Zardari get NAB’s questionnaire in Park Lane land case
ISLAMABAD: A questionnaire was hand over to the counsel of PPP leaders Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Asif Ali Zardari regarding “illegal demarcation of land by Park Lane Estates (Pvt) Limited.”
The company is allegedly owned by Asif Ali Zardari and his family.
The father-son duo did not appear before the anti-graft body and were represented by their counsel, Farooq H Naek.
They were summoned before the NAB to clarify their position about the ownership of the private company.
Geo quoted sources as saying that the NAB has taken the financial records of the Park Lane company.
The anti-corruption watchdog has already interrogated the officials of Capital Development Authority and Revenue Department.
In another case, Bilawal was given a questionnaire his week by a joint investigation team in a fake accounts case.
Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, in his response on the NAB’s probe, has reportedly said that the government is exerting pressure on the anti-graft body.
“We can clearly see the pressure being exerted by the government on the anti-graft body,” Bilawal said while speaking to the media upon arrival at the Parliament House.
“Government should let the accountability administrations work freely,” the PPP chairman stressed.
