Imran Khan, Bill Gates discuss technology transfer, polio eradication
ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan spoke to Microsoft founder Bill Gates and expressed Pakistan’s desire for technological transfer, investment opportunities, investment opportunities, economics and eradication of polio.
PM Khan and Bill Gates spoke on the phone for over 30 minutes, Geo reported.
Gates congratulated Imran Khan on his election as prime minister.
The premier sought Microsoft’s assistance in technological transfer.
Gates assured his support for Pakistan’s initiative and said he would visit the country.
He also praised steps taken by Pakistan to eradicate the crippling polio disease.
The conversation follows Prime Minister Khan’s proposal to eradicate poverty from the country with the help of poultry. In 2016, Gates had also spoken on why chickens are the ultimate solution to poverty.
