Centre to fulfill its commitments, PM assures Sindh CM
KARACH: Prime Minister Imran Khan has assured Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah that the federal government will fullfil its commitments and extend cooperation to the province in its development.
The assurance was given during a meeting held at the Governor House over lunch.
The chief minister urged the prime minister that the federal government should fulfill its commitment about K-IV and KCR projects. He reminded that in their last term in KPK, the PTI government used to implement electricity and gas projects directly in the province .
Murad said the federal government is welcome to implement these projects in Sindh as these schemes fall under the federal domain. In fact the CM urged him to spend more on electricity and gas projects in the province.
The prime minister inquired about the law and order situation in rural Sindh, and the chief minister told him that by and large the law and order situation was satisfactory and all areas were safe.
Imran Khan acknowledged this, saying that 10 years ago he used to move in rural Sindh in convoys because of the worst law and order situation. Imran had other commitments and the chief minister was not invited.
