Bilawal receives 2nd questionnaire from JIT

KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari has received another notice by the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) which is constituted to investigate into the allegations pertaining to money laundering against PPP leader Asif Ali Zardari, party representatives and others yesterday.
According to details, the notice in which party chairman has been asked to submit his reply to a questionnaire is received. Subsequent to which Bilawal respond back to the JIT after consultation with his legal team, the PPP office-bearers said.
This is the second notice being sent to Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari. In the past questionnaire sent by the to the PPP chairman, details about his bank accounts were asked from him.
Moreover, yesterday PPP leader Sherry Rehman during a presser said that government is targeting the Opposition under the shed of accountability in an undemocratic way.
It is important to mention here that Supreme Court has formed the JIT in October 2018 to probe alleged money laundering of billions of rupees via forged bank accounts in connivance with bankers with an intent to benefit several top brass of political and business figures including Zardari and Talpur.
