Karachi: Bahria Icon Tower catches fire
KARACHI: The Bahria Icon Tower building in Karachi’s upscale Clifton location caught fire on Monday morning.
The reason for the fire is not yet known but rescue efforts are underway to secure as many people as possible.
Traffic came to a halt on the road adjacent to the skyscraper after the fire broke out.
According to reports, the fire had erupted on the seventh floor of the building. 26th street was closed for traffic.
The under construction skyscraper is Pakistan’s tallest building.
According to our correspondent, efforts are under way to put out the blaze, which is still raging.
