CM Punjab’s spokesman hits back at Khurram Dastgir over newspaper advert
LAHORE: A spokesman for Punjab Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has denied claims that the provincial government had given an advertisement in an Urdu daily regarding South Punjab’s development project.
Dr Shahbaz Gill took to Twitter on Tuesday to respond to PML-N MNA and former federal minister Khurram Dastgir who shared a screenshot of an alleged government advertisement by the Punjab government showing portrait of Chief Minister Buzdar and other PTI leaders.
“This advertisement was not given by the Punjab government. It was paid by Hanif Patafi from his own pocket,” Gill, who is the spokesman of Chief Minister of Punjab,” wrote.
“We are not as insensitive as you people were. It was you who used to release government’s advertisements with your faces printed on them,” he shot back.
Federal Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry also seconded Gill’s response by retweeting his version.
