KARACHI: The Muttahida Majlis-e-Amal (MMA) will stage a million march in the city on Thursday to register its protest against Aasia Bibi’s acquittal.
According to a statement by the MMA, the party plans to take out a ‘million march’ protest rally for the sanctity of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) on Thursday.

MMA has requested media houses and journalists to cover the march.
Aasia Bibi is a Christian Pakistani who was accused of committing blasphemy by two women and a cleric. She was on death row since 2009 until Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar heard her appeal.
Protests broke out all over Pakistan when Aasia Bibi was acquitted by the Supreme Court of Pakistan and cleared of blasphemy charges on October 31.
After three days of countrywide strikes by supporters of religiopolitical parties, the government signed a five-point agreement with the government.
TLP agreed to end the countrywide strikes in exchange for the government agreeing to take legal actions to place Aasia Bibi’s name on the ECL.
